10 years and a month ago I released my second EP. It was a naive blend of overproduced and raw electronic instrumentals called subtlepunk. The EP always felt a little out of place in my wider catalogue, despite it's reference points (dance, industrial, ambient) being a key part of who I am. So during the pandemic I chose to start writing a sequel. Because you can have sequels in music, right?

subtlepunk2 is the culmination of that. A 5 track EP of ambient-y electronica with some mild dance elements, some mild industrial elements, and a whole load of lock-down frustration crammed into 20 minutes. I'm really quite proud of it. If anything I think it comes the closest yet to realising my core personality in musical form.
